Timber Ridge Millworks club field trip
Israel Blosser has invited woodturners and woodworkers to his Timber Ridge Millworks at 19037 Highway 5, Versailles, MO on Saturday March 15th. He has a very versatile milling base frame that can support a large chainsaw head, a large saw blade head, or a large band mill head. He has solar kilns for lumber drying and can therm lumber (high heat with a lack of oxygen to chemically alter the wood’s structure). Also, there is a shop for building things and a showroom with many natural edge slabs. The current thinking is to arrive around 10 am, break for lunch at a local Mexican restaurant, and then finish up by 3 pm. Ernest will work on carpooling later and will need to give Israel an approximate head count too.
